Job Title: Snow Crew - Equipment Operator $17.00/hour |

Reports To: Maintenance – Grounds Technician I |
Job Description:
To maintain the functionality of university facilities through the removal of snow and ice on an on-call basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Usage of machinery to remove snow from campus walkways
- Attending to on-call shifts outside of business hours during snow events
- Maintain communication with the Maintenance Supervisor via email, text, or phone call
- Monitor weather conditions and prepare accordingly
- Routine care/maintenance of machinery used
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Currently enrolled student at NCU
- Knowledge of basic equipment operation & care
- Ability to communicate well on various platforms to insure shared understanding of information & responsibilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Use of hand tools
- Experience in equipment operation & snow removal preferred
Additional Comments:
- Work environment includes exposure to dust or chemicals and extremes in temperature
- Snow Removal Equipment Operators are hired for the winter season and the position is a contractual agreement
- Year-end bonus is included if all job requirements are met during the snow removal season (i.e., arriving on time for each snow event, clearing the snow properly, etc.)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required during operation of machinery
Hours/Week: Hours depend on number of snow events during a given time
Operating Hours: 4:30 PM—8:00 AM in various shifts
